Tattoo Questions
How do i pay for my tattoo booking/deposit?
A deposit is payable to secure your booking via a bank transfer, this is deductible from the total cost of which is payable on the day.
On the day, cash is preferred but a bank transfer can be arranged.
What tattoo aftercare do you recommend?
After your tattoo appointment, I will run through the aftercare procedure with you.
As well as caring for your new tattoo, you should look after your body & get some rest, getting tattooed affects your immune system.
Detailed aftercare instructions can be found here Aftercare Advice
Can you tattoo over scars?
Generally, yes.
You can tattoo over scars, although it is best to wait for them to heal as much as possible (1-3 years)
Scar tissue can act different to the surrounding skin & may not take the ink well or take too much ink and blow out. It is best to tattoo gently over the scar and touch it up later instead to avoid a blow out.
Can you cover an old tattoo?
This depends on the existing tattoo & what you would like to cover it with.
My fineline black style of tattooing uses a lot of negative space and light shading so it is not always possible to cover an old tattoo.
Usually a solid black element is required to cover the old tattoo & the new design needs to be bigger in order to hide the old tattoo.
What is the difference between a flash or custom design?
‘Flash’ is a pre drawn designs that is a set size. These cannot be altered.
Custom designs are one off pieces that are based on your idea. These designs are drawn up the day before your booking and shown to you on the day.
